Huntertown Town Hall
A meeting of the Town Council of Huntertown, Indiana
was held at the Town Hall on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Attendees:
Council Members Pat Freck, Brandon Seifert, and Mike Stamets, and Clerk
Treasurer Cathy Mittendorf. Also present, Attorney Michael Hawk, Town Engineer
Casey Irwin, and Engineering Resources Derek Frederickson, and Resource Officer
Brandon Reichert. There were 21 visitors and 1 reporter.
Pat Freck called
the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Brandon Seifert made
a motion to approve January 19, 2015 minutes. Mike Stamets seconded. Motion
Brandon Seifert made a motion to approve General Claims. Mike
Stamets seconded. Motion carried.
Smith from Republic Services presented the Town with check for $702.70 which is
our revenue from 4th quarter Recycling. Funds will be donated to our park.
Resolution # 15-03 appointing Mike Stamets as ADA Coordinator
has been tabled until next month for a majority vote.
Stamets made a motion to Introduce Resolution # 15-03. Brandon Seifert seconded.
Brandon Seifert reported
he is still investigating on telecasting Town Council meetings.
He is also
working on WiFi for the Town.
Derek Frederickson from
Engineering Resources had presenting the Council with a Professional Service
Agreement. Mike Stamets made a motion to accept the Agreement, Brandon Seifert
seconded. Motion carried.
COUNCIL MEMBER REPORTS
Every year, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources donates trees and
seedlings to towns. Brandon Seifert has spoken to Senator Liz Brown and Rep. Ben
Smaltz and we should be receiving bundles for Huntertown.
Casey Irwin, Town engineer stated there was nothing new to report. He presented
the Council with Water Main Relocation plans and Carroll Road plans. He would
like the new Council to see the size of these projects.
Derek Frederickson introduced Russell Jacobs from R.E. Crosby, Inc. He is
requesting a 24 hour shutdown on Hathaway Road. This is for the Huntertown Flow
Equalization project scheduled for February 16.
OPEN FLOOR COMMENT
Brandon Reichert, Huntertown Resource Officer, commented about angry
residents treating our snow plow drivers with disrespect. Their job is to plow
the roadways, not their driveways.
Mike Gross, 10826 Valentine Road
1). What will be the flow from the a Treatment Plant into Eel River be in 20
and 30 years?
2). Occasionally we will go from 1.2
million to 6,000,000 gallons of water. Where
do those extra millions come
3). Mike Gross thought that Fort Wayne City Utilities
would have a presentation.
Monica Bereqszazi, Fort Wayne City Utilities,
spoke that she was here, but did
not have a presentation.
Seifert made a motion to adjourn. Mike Stamets seconded. Motion carried.
Next Council Meeting is February 17, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
