Huntertown Town Hall

A meeting of the Town Council of Huntertown, Indiana was held at the Town Hall on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Council Members Pat Freck, Gary Grant, Mike Stamets, Dave Garman, and Brandon Seifert, and Clerk Treasurer Cathy Mittendorf. Also present, Attorney David Hawk, Utility Supervisor Don Papai, Engineering Resources Derek Frederickson, Town Engineer Casey Irwin, and Resource Officer Brandon Reichert. There were 22 visitors and 1 reporter.

Pat Freck called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Gary Grant made a motion to accept February 17, 2015 minutes. Dave Garman seconded. All in favor.

Brandon Seifert made a motion to accept March 2, 2015 General Claims, Mike Stamets seconded. All in favor.


Brandon Seifert reported that he has been in contact with IPFW about Video Streaming of Council Meetings. We can put on Career Services what kind of job we are looking for.


Don Papai
   1) Reported the Ferguson Tile Reconstruction has been pushed back due to weather.
   2). Don presented Council with a brochure on the Vactor Trailer.  Gary Grant made a motion for to pay 1/3 payment ($9666.66) for Vactor Trailer. Brandon Seifert seconded. All in favor.
   3). Don is getting 3 quotes for computer updates inside the Town Hall.

Derek Frederickson
   Derek has notes on the Bowser petition to rezone property to General Commercial.


1) Steve Messmann, 1303 Lebaron Cove
   Why are we building our own Wastewater Treatment Plant instead of accepting City Utilities proposal?

Sarah Garman, 1928 Millstream
   1) What will our bills be for 5,000 gallons usage when phase 1 is done?

Gail Marshall, 12903 Johnson Road
   1) Wants copy of map for discharge that is going down Hathaway Road.

Mike Gross, 10826 Valentine Road
   1). Comes to his attention, there is a $17,000 difference between Maple Creek and Carroll Middle School. Both schools are similar in size.

Gary Grant made a motion to adjourned, Mike Stamets seconded. All in favor.
