A meeting of the Town Council of Huntertown, Indiana
was held at the Town Hall on Monday, March 16th, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Attendees:
Council Members Pat Freck, Gary Grant, Mike Stamets, and Brandon Seifert. Also
present, Attorney David Hawk, Utility Foreman Gabe Brindle, Engineering
Resources Derek Frederickson, and Resource Officer Brandon Reichert. There were
29 visitors and 2 reporters.
Pat Freck called the meeting to order with
the Pledge of Allegiance.
Gary Grant made a motion to approve December
15, 2014 minutes, Mike Stamets seconded. All in favor.
Gary Grant made a
motion to accept March 2, 2015 minutes, Brandon Seifert seconded. All in favor.
Gary Grant made a motion to approve March 16, 2015 General Claims, Mike
Stamets seconded. All in favor.
reported he is still waiting on meeting for Wi-Fi.
Brandon Seifert would
like to meet with Pat Freck about Video Streaming Council Meetings. He would
like a description of what we might be looking for to make this work.
Mike Stamets reported that he and Pat Freck had met with
Oneil Excavating with a proposal for rezoning.
Brandon Seifert is
concerned about a proposal from Derek Frederickson for a plan for softening
water in Huntertown. He is concerned this puts a burden on tax payers with an
increase in their monthly water bill.
1) Gabe Brindle reported that Ferguson Tile Project will
start March 19th.
2) Don has two quotes for the utility barn
roof. He will be receiving two more quotes.
3) The Town Hall
parking lot needs coated and striped. He is waiting on third quote.
4) Street sweeping has resumed and will last around 2 weeks.
Stankiewicz, DLZ speaking for Casey Irwin presented three letters.
1) Status Report for Carroll Road Project
Letter from DLZ summarizing INDOT'S verbal request on Carroll Road moving
the letting date.
3) Supplemental Agreement # 1 for Design
services for Carroll Road project.
Derek Frederickson, Engineering
1)The Department of Planning has approved the rezoning for
the Scott Bowser property.
2). Gary Grant made a motion to
approve the rezoning of property at 15605 Lima Road. Brandon Seifert
seconded. All in favor.

1) Last meeting she
asked about the Sewer Discharge Pipe on the Soloman land. What price will be
paying for the sewer discharge pipe?
2) There is talk of the
Sewage Plant costing 14.2 million dollars. When did this amount first
present itself to the Council?
Mike Gross, 10826 Valentine Road
1) If you go over your 14 million for Sewer Plant, do you have any hard
numbers on how it will affect sewer rates?
2) Will you be
able to meet or beat City Utilites sewer rates for NWAC Schools?

He has questioned residents and most
are in favor of the WWTP.
