A meeting of the Town Council of Huntertown, Indiana was held at the Town Hall on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Council Member's Pat Freck, Gary Grant, Mike Stamets, Dave Garman, Brandon Seifert, and Clerk Treasurer Cathy Mittendorf. Also present: Attorney David Hawk, Utility Supervisor Don Papai, William Doyle from DLZ, Derek Frederickson from Engineering Resources, and Resource Officer Brandon Reichert. There were 24 visitors and 1 reporter.

Pat Freck called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Gary Grant made a motion to approve April 6, 2015 Minutes. Brandon Seifert seconded. All in favor.

Brandon Seifert made a motion to approve April 20, and May 4, 2015 General Claims. Gary Grant seconded. All in favor.

NEW BUSINESS

   Ken Neumeister, Allen County Regional Sewer District again approached the Council asking we amend an ordinance for septic relief in 2 project areas. After much discussion between all, it was put on hold for 2 - 3 weeks.

   Roger Delagrange, a developer for Timber Ridge, expressed his frustration with the Town leaders on his lack of water and sewer for Timber Ridge.

COMMENTS/REPORTS

Dave Garman frustrated that the meeting with Derek Frederickson and Carter was cancelled. He would like to set up another meeting to discuss public information.

Brandon Seifert does not understand why he has to beg to speak to people and vendors?

Don Papai
   1)Ferguson Tile Reconstruction: The road cut across Hunter turned out larger than expected.
   2) Don presented 3 quotes for crack fill, coat and restriping parking lot.  Gary made a motion to accept bid from L. Schafer Enterprises in the amount of $2196.80. Mike Stamet seconded. All in favor.
   3)Don presented Council with 3 bids for lawn care. Gary Grant made a motion to accept Messmann Enterprises LLC at $40.00 an hour. Brandon Seifert seconded. Mike Stamet- yes, Gary Grant-yes, Dave Garman-yes, Brandon Seifert -yes. Pat Freck-abstain.

   Bill Boyle from DLZ reported there was a hiccup with the WTP. Manufacturer built the pumps backward. The WTP should be pretty close to being on line around Memorial Day.

   Pat Freck questioned Derek Frederickson about why we were denied SRF funding? We did not qualify in the fundable range because of pending litigation.

   1) Wants to know if Andrew Conner is getting paid for the meetings he's missing?
   2). Wants to know how much we are paying Dave Hawk this year.

Jenny Draper, 9915 Miller Road
   1) She is concerned about the 120 residents needing sewer service.

David Smith, 2729 Hunter Road
   1). What was Roger Delagrange at the meeting for?

Sarah Garman, 1930 Millstream Drive
   1) Thinks lift stations need to be fenced for safety.
   2) Clarify when sprinkler credit starts.
   3) Questioning sewer relief.

Bob Framme, 13309 Johnson Road
   Requesting answers from his 4 questions asked at the April 6 Council Meeting.

Brandon Seifert made a motion to adjourn, Dave Garman seconded. All in favor.

Next Council Meeting is Monday, May 18, 2015 at 6:00.
