A meeting of the Town Council of Huntertown, Indiana
was held at the Town Hall on Monday, June 15, 2015 @ 6:00 p.m. Attendees:
Council Member's Pat Freck, Gary Grant, Mike Stamets, Dave Garman, Brandon
Seifert, and Clerk Treasurer Cathy Mittendorf. Also present, Attorney David
Hawk, Superintendent Don Papai, Jay Stankiewicz, DLZ, and Resource Officer,
Brandon Reichert. There was 1 reporter and 16 guests.
Pat Freck called
the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Brandon Seifert made
a motion to accept June 1, 2015 Meeting Minutes. Mike Stamets seconded. Motion
Gary Grant made a motion to accept General Claims of
$165,464.43. Dave Garman seconded. Motion carried.
Dave Garman made a
motion to accept General Claims of $55,885.00. Gary Grant seconded. Motion
Brandon Seifert suggested that after the IURC, would it be beneficial to
adjust USB board from 3 to 5 members? After discussion, it was tabled for
Mary Hostetter, Indiana Physical Therapy, is running the new
clinic at Carroll and Lima Road. She wanted to introduce herself and also
presented some brochures.
Don Papai, Utility Superintendent
1) Ferguson Tile
reconstruction is almost completed.
2) Don is working on
getting quotes for street and sidewalk striping.
Wi-fi is on hold for now. He is working on finding some different sources.
Jay Stankiewicz, DLZ
1) He still has not heard back from
INDOT on the Carroll Road project. Hoping for more news as far as
postponement by end of month.
2) Jay talked to Dan Gibson,
Bean, Longest, and Neff, on the Gump Road project. They are sending revised
plans this week. Then they will be able to re-evaluate plans.
3) The Water Plant will be completed this month. Ribbon cutting ceremony is
planned for June 23rd at 3:00.
4) Should have Plank Road
permit by June or July. Construction will start in fall.
Dave Smith, 2729 Hunter Road
1) Asking about getting a stop sign at Gump/Dunton Road.
What is the advantage of having 5 people versus 3 people on the USB Board.
Tim Schobert, Utility worker
Tim talked to Zip Spider
today. Their service won’t be available in our area for another 12 months.
Gary Grant made a motion to adjourn. Brandon Seifert seconded. Motion
