She is planning an extra nice festival to celebrate Indiana's Bicentennial.
There will be a 3 day carnival on August 4, 5, and 6. They have already spent
$12,000 and will need an additional $10,000. Jenny would like to know what the
Town can do for her. Gary Grant stated the standard donation has been $500. He
would like to increase it this year to $1000. The Council will take it under
advisement and get back with Jenny, as there are expenses coming up to replace
the Town’s holiday’s signs.
Pat Freck received a letter from
the president of the homeowners association at Lakes of Willow Creek. They would
like to have a stop sign at Marble Ridge and Shale Run Pathway. This is a school
bus stop. They are concerned for the safety of the children. He feels the sign
will slow the traffic down. Gary Grant is going to pull an accident report to
check out the accident history. He will report back to the Council before they
reported that a caucus was held on Saturday, May 14, to fill Dave Garman's spot
on the Council. Mike Aker was chosen. He will be gone for 2 weeks and then be
sworn in by the Clerk Treasurer.
Cathy Mittendorf presented Council with
a brochure on an Epson projector to be used in the meeting room. The Council
approved the purchase.
