Meeting of the Huntertown Utility Service Board
of Huntertown, Indiana
March 2, 2015 – 5:00 pm
Huntertown Town Hall
A meeting of the Huntertown Utility Service Board was held at the Town
Hall on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. Board Members present: Louie
Zimmer and John Widmann, and Clerk Treasurer Cathy Mittendorf. Others
present: Attorney David Hawk, Casey Erwin from DLZ, Derek Frederickson from
Engineering Resources, and Resource Officer Brandon Reichert. There was 1
reporter and 21 visitors.
Louis Zimmer called the meeting to order
with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Louie Zimmer made a motion to accept
February 2, 2015 Minutes. John Widmann seconded. Motion carried
Widmann made a motion to accept February 17 and March 2, 2015 Water and
Sewer claims. Louie Zimmer seconded. Motion carried.
We are working on putting a working budget together.
Don informed USB about the new pump from Cavalen. John Widmann made a
motion for payment, Louie Zimmer seconded. All in favor.
Vermeer Vactor Unit is working and doing a great job. Louie Zimmer
made a motion to approve payment, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.
Payments will be paid in 3 installments.
Derek presented the USB WITH Contractor's Application for #
14120-5 from R.E Crosby, for the Equalization Basin in the amount of
Louie Zimmer made a motion to approve payment, John Widmann
seconded. Motion carried.
The change order request for
the Equalization Basin Project Collection Box Coating has been put on hold
Louie Zimmer made a motion to accept the
Dedication of Water and Sewer to Towne Square, sections 6 and 7. John
Widmann seconded. Motion carried.
Louie Zimmer made a
motion to accept proposal from Hydrophase for the Wellhead Protection Plan -
Expanded Scope. John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.
Presented pay application # 14 for Water Treatment Plant
Improvements to Ottenweller Contractors, LLC for $42,447.90. Louie made a
motion to accept, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.

Questioning Band on SFR loan.

cost for EQ Basin liner at this point.
Mike Gross, 10826 Valentine
1). Informed Huntertown has a 2 pipe system. Will there ever be any mixing
of the 2?
2). Full Equalization project will outstand what
size water event?
3) If there is 750,000 gallons of storage,
what is the chance of that being overwhelmed.
