A meeting of the Huntertown Utility Service Board was held at the a Town Hall on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. Board members present: Andrew Conner, John Widmann, and Clerk Treasurer Cathy Mittendorf. Also present: Attorney David Hawk, Superintendent Don Papai, Derek Frederickson, Engineering Resources, Bill Boyle, DLZ. There were 13 guests and 1 reporter.

Andrew Conner called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.

USB ACTIONS

Andrew Conner made a motion to accept November 2, 2015 minutes, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.

John Widmann made a motion to accept November 16, and December 7, 2015 water and sewer claims, Andrew Conner seconded. Motion carried.

Andrew Conner made a motion to pre-approve purchase and funding to R & C Fencing, John Widmann seconded. Final approval will come from David Hawk & Don Papai. Motion carried.

Andrew Conner made a motion to accept Resolution No. 15-005, Resolution approving Consideration for Water Main Easements. John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.

Andrew Conner made a motion to pay Crosby Excavating in the amount of $55,838.00, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.

Andrew Conner made a motion to accept change order # 2 for a rebate of $33,682.00, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.

Andrew Conner made a motion to release payment application 14120-12 in the amount of $72,983.25, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.

John Widmann made a motion to accept Ordinance No. 15-008, Andrew Conner seconded,. Motion carried

Andrew Conner made a motion to accept Ordinance No. 15-009, John Widdman seconded. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

John Widmann would like the Town of Huntertown to create a Facebook page. He feels this will give our residents updates and happenings throughout the Town.

Steve Harris, Shearwater Association
Steve has received a quote from R & C Fencing for lift station in Shearwater in the amount of $3,790.00. When paperwork is returned from R & C, they will proceed pending final approval from David Hawk and Don Papai.

REPORTS

Don Papai
   1) The dump truck should be available by the end of December.
   2) Don would like to add 1 wellness day for employees, and keep a pay freeze for 2016.
   3) Wayne & Linda Boyd have agreed to provide easements to Huntertown asking the Town to waive connection fees, and tap fees for 1 water and 1 sewer service.

Derek Frederickson
   1)Derek presented USB with final pay application to close out contract 1A to Crosby Excavating in the amount of $55,838.30.
   2) Derek Frederickson presented USB with change order # 2, decreasing the contact amount by $33,682.00 from Crosby Escavating. This is being incorporated in final payment of $55,838.30.
   3) Derek presented Pay application # 14120-12 from R.E. Crosby in the amount of $72,983.25.

Bill Boyle
   1) As soon as water easement contract is signed and recorded, we can begin to advertise. Project is expected to cost between $250,00 to $275,000.
   2) Ammonia and chlorine problem is resolved.

David Hawk
   Dave presented USB with Ordinance No. 15-008. This is an Ordinance and Resolution to amend salary ordinance # 14-012 providing for payment of salaries of elected officials and other employees of Town of Huntertown for fiscal year 2015.

   Dave also presented USB with Ordinance No. 15-009. This is an Ordinance and Resolution for payment of salaries of elected officials and other employees of the Town of Huntertown for fiscal year 2016.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Tom Brinker, 17333 Lima Road
He is wondering what current hook up fees will be. He paid $5,000 in 2006 to connect.

Dave Ewers, Lima Road
He has purchased land to build in Huntertown and is wondering what expenses he will be paying to hook into Huntertown Utilities.
