A meeting of the Huntertown Utility Service Board was held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Attendees: Louis Zimmer, John Widmann, and Clerk Treasurer Cathy Mittendorf. Also present: Attorney David Hawk, Derek Frederickson from Engineering Resources, and Resource Officer Brandon Reichert. There were 10 guests and 1 reporter.

Louis Zimmer called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.


Louis Zimmer made a motion to approve: January 8, February 1, March 12, 2016 meeting minutes. Also approved were April 2, 2016 Special Meeting Minutes, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.

Louis Zimmer made a motion to approve February 16, March 7, March 21, and April 4, 2016 water and sewer claims, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.

Louie Zimmer made a motion to approve Carter Dillon Umbaugh invoice # 01215 in the amount of $25,375.00, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.

Louis Zimmer made a motion to approve water and sewer services for Coves of Carroll Creek, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried


Louie reported on the force main on Old Lima Road. He would like Dave Hawk to make a resolution for connection fees as follows:

Total connection of $7430.
   Base- $4000
   Area connection fee - $2000
   Tap fee - $1430


Clerk Treasurer presented USB with an Invoice from Carter Dillon Umbaugh LLC in the amount of $25,375.00 which represents $17,050 Progressive billing being 90% complete and $8325 for services related to litigation and issuance of BAN.


Don Papai
   1) The Lift Station Fence agreement in Shearwater addition has been reviewed by attorney and is ready for construction with R & C Fence.
   2)The water towers will be inspected and cleaned this month. $5500 will cover the inspection and cleaning recorded on a DVD.
   3) A state mandated water audit is due by the end of May.

Derek Frederickson
   1) Developers from the Cottage at the Coves of Carroll Creek are requesting the USB to provide services for this addition.
   2)Derek addressed the audience to give a summary on the USB Special Meeting held at the Town Hall on Saturday, April 2, 2016. This meeting was to review the bid proposals from contractors for the WWTP and the F 1 Force Main. Fetters Construction was awarded the contract. The F 1 Fore Main was awarded the Geiger Excavating.

Louis Zimmer made a motion to adjourn, John Widmann seconded. Motion carried.
